About Us

You've seen our flooring at Tazza Kitchen and The Boathouse in Short Pump. Owner Jason Jones has been in the wood flooring business for 30 years. Starting as a helper and working his way up to vice president, he was able to gain a wealth of knowledge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q) If I choose a traditional wood service, does it cause a lot of dust?

A) The sanding dust is very fine and will filter through nearly any barrier, and our goal is to minimize it. Please inquire about our DUSTLESS SANDING as this maybe a better option for those with young children. We cannot guarantee a 100% dust free environment due to the nature of this work.
. . .

Q) When will you arrive?
A) We will arrive between 8:00am - 9:00am depending on your location. An initial walk through is provided to ensure all details of the work are covered. Our crew will return to apply subsequent finish coats if you have chosen our refinishing service.
. . .

Q) Do I need to remove our furniture?
A) We recommend that you move and store your furniture before we begin. Additional fees apply for moving service if the working area is not cleared. We can refer a company to help with removal and replacement of furniture.
. . .

Q) What about the toilet and kitchen appliances?
A) We recommend a professional plumber / appliance mover to remove & reinstall these items before and after our work is completed. If necessary, we can disconnect and move these items. However we can not be held liable for water or gas leaks if they occur. Additional fees apply.
. . .

Q) How long does it take to install a new floor?

A) Jason will determine the timing of your project so you know what to expect. The length varies for each project, typical time frames are:
2-3 Days - Prefinished hardwoods (150-300 sq ft/day)
4-8 Days - (Install / Sand / Refinishing Projects)
. . .

Q) How should I care for my new hardwood floors?
A) For general cleaning, we recommend Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner. We provide a free Bona floor kit with every job. Use fabric glides on the legs of your furniture so they move easily without scuffing the floor. Clean/replace the glides regularly: grit can become embedded. Use mats at all exterior doors to help prevent dirt, grit and sand from getting inside the house. Sunlight can cause discoloration over time. Close curtains and blinds or add sheer drapes to protect a hardwood floor from intense UV rays.
